The 25th Food Service Industry Contribution Awards ceremony was held on 16 September. These prestigious honours cover several categories and are awarded by the Japan Food Journal in cooperation with the Ministry for Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
Meiko took home the coveted trophy for the M-iClean H hood type dishwashing machine. The panel particularly liked AirConcept, as well as the automatic hood system and Meiko Service.
They made their choice because all of these factors come together to improve energy efficiency, reduce operating costs, take the physical strain off employees and provide a more pleasant indoor climate, which is a significant ergonomic consideration. This results in a positive work environment in the dishwashing area. Both the technological implementation and social contribution of the machine were praised.
Masayoshi Konno, Japan Food Journal CEO, welcomed participants and organisers to the ceremony with particular appreciation for the winning companies.
Then, the chair of each judging panel explained their selections in detail before the company representatives were awarded their coveted certificates and seals.
Takeshi Yasuraoka (Office of the Ministry for Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries) gave a congratulatory speech on behalf of the Minister for Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Kotaro Nogami.
